Castelo Novo Mother Church Recovery

Project carried out in partnership with Architect Joaquim Nave.

It consisted of a deep work of requalification of the Igreja Matriz of Castelo Novo which was in an advanced state of degradation.

A careful and thorough research allowed to know the history of the Church and its evolution over time, being fundamental to define the intervention strategy that would be carried out by a multidisciplinary team, which went through the restoration of the building and sacred art, replicating the constructive techniques from the time of construction and the design of new elements to support religious worship such as ambo and altar stone.
